Anonymous - Wednesday 30th
My friend J has passed his PGCE course and now can go on to accept the job offer
he got! He had a lot of problems because of the particular way he lives out his
faith in the secular schools he was placed in, but he got through. We prayed a
lot and God answered! Hallelujah!
-
Prayer Partner - Tuesday 29th
Thanks for all your prayers for one of our partners who has been in hospital.
She was treated well and able to return home sooner than she expected. She is
now home (though being monitored) and also eager to continue praying for
requests! Thank God for the blessing that she is, and continue to pray for a
full recovery.
-
Carl Melville (Stowmarket, Suffolk) -
Monday 28th I had a
great vision!!! I saw the whole of our town, after we had prayed about it during
prayer week, come to a halt, in the distance, and getting louder was a rumble-
the holy Spirit of God. It hit our town so fast that people were amazed and
dazzled. they didn't know what hit them! people dropped their bags, left the
shops and came outside and just prayed and connected with God. We've been away
from God for so long e don't know what it means no more! Pray that God will
restore us and our country to what it was intended for- praising and glorifying
God. We're coming back Lord Jesus.
-
Steve (Warwick) - Monday 28th
Thank you to all who were praying for
me when I was quite ill last week: I was quite touched by the number of people
who I have since found out were praying. I got better very quickly and am now
back to full health :o)
-
Juliana (South Africa) - Monday 28th
Praise to God for the wonderful
things that is happening in G's life! I don't know all the detail, but God is
showing Himself as faithful and the Hearer of our prayers, though God's time and
our time is not the same, it is always at the right time for His wonderful plan
for our lives.
-
Samia, Shabnam, Rubinah and Hanan -
Saturday 26th
Yesterday we studied elements of the death of Christ. One of them Rubinah seems
to be heeding to Christ's message but is still holding on to Islam. Please
continue to intercede for them. I meet them next week and we are reviewing an
Islamic video debate on whether the Qu'ran or Bible is the word of God. Pray
that God will give me answers to their questions. Pray that he will just melt
their hearts for his glory.
-
'J' c/o Anonymous - Wednesday 23nd
Thanks to all who have been praying for J who is suicidal: she
didn't try again on Monday night, which was what was expected, so praise God for
those ANSWERED prayers,
although she is still very, very low and doesn't want to talk to anyone. Please
continue to pray for a miracle of God's Grace for her, that He will reveal
Himself to her and show her that her life has a purpose and meaning; there have
been so many prayers for her over so many years!!! Praise God for G's
support for her and his ability to read the situation; he says he is doing OK in
spite of his ongoing depression and anxiety, so again thanks for your prayers!
please continue to pray for G too, that all the prayers for him over many years
will not be wasted and he too will realise that the only true help and comfort
he can find is in Jesus.
-
Nick
(Essex) - Monday 21st I know it has been
a while, but thank you to all the prayer support- we have had loads of
blessings. Firstly I have passed my driving test. Secondly we have found a house
and have the keys for it- and it was left in a clean state. Thirdly all the
wedding plans are going really well
after two amazingly productive weekends. Thank you Jesus.
-
Samuel (Birmingham) c/o AMY - Sunday 20th
I want to thank God for yesterday when Rob and I went to visit Samuel who is now
back at his family home after 2 years in hospital / care homes. Since God's
miraculous healing of his paralysis he has been able to do much more for himself
and others too.
ANSWER
It was a wonderful fulfilment of a dream I had
about 18 months ago when I was also much more dependent on a wheelchair than I
am now: I dreamt that Samuel and I were walking together in his back garden, and
I prayed that one day that might be a reality, and now we are both back on our
feet!
REQUEST
Please continue to pray for
Samuel because he has pain in his right knee due to arthritis, which he has not
felt for over two years. It is the only thing stopping him from being able to
walk freely. Also pray that he might be able to come off the pain medication he
has been on, because it makes him very tired. Thanks for your prayers and
also thanks to Samuel for his prayers as a Prayer Partner and friend.
-
Heather (Birmingham) - Saturday 19th
Thanks to all who prayed for me this
weekend on my trip to Suffolk with the orchestra. Although my lower back is
really bad, I did manage to go and was able to play in the concert and enjoy it!
A friend kindly helped carry my case for me when needed, and although I
struggled to walk, I was able to manage, praise God! I even had a 'rainbow'
experience on the way to Suffolk, where there was a beautiful rainbow that just
reminded me of God's covenant promises that He is faithful and loved me enough
to die for me, and will be with me from day to day, giving me strength!
-
A.P. - Thursday 17th
Locally we were praying for a lady AP, who damaged her back very
badly in a fall. Soon after that she had to have cancer treatment. Weeks and
months later, she is now recovered and back at work in the family business.
THANK YOU, GOD!
-
Anonymous - Thursday 17th
I would like to thank God for taking me to the 'Third Day
concert' (through the giving of someone) and for the money I have now received
to pay that person back. I would also like to thank him for the great time I had
and the challenge it brought to my life.
-
Anonymous - Tuesday 15th
I didn't actually send this as a request, but I
had been having trouble getting time off from medical school to go on my
honeymoon. I had decided to go anyway and face the music when I get back.
Then today I found out I will be doing a rotation which is notoriously easy and
doesn't matter if you miss some of it, that it will be at the Q.E. hospital so I
can pop in to do clinics and things whilst moving house and finalising wedding
plans, and finally, as the icing on the cake, I am at the same hospital as my
housemate for the next 6 weeks, so I will get to spend time with her which would
otherwise have been very difficult, so God has done more that I could have asked
or imagined and sorted all the little details out for me. Thank you!
-
Jennifer - Monday 14th
THANKS! On May 10th I asked for prayers for
Jennifer, because it was thought that her cancer had recurred. She has had to
wait several weeks for the result of the biopsy. This shows that there is no
malignancy at the moment. Thank you for all your prayers, and thanks to God for
his goodness. Pray for her health in the future.
-
Anonymous - Monday 14th
After applying for a job teaching in a
school a few weeks ago, and asking for prayer about it on this website, I have
now got the job. I really feel that God has guided me to this school, and that
he will help me through my first year in teaching.
-
Anonymous - Sunday 13th
I asked for prayer for B, struggling with
an alcohol problem. Within a short time, it seems as though his medication is
helping and that there is good NHS support. He and his wife are also seeing
Christian counsellors. They are happy and positive and looking to the future.
Pray for continued strength for them both, and that they will both feel that God
has them in His hands.
-
Amy (Warwickshire) - Saturday 12th
Thank God for a really great day in
Birmingham rehearsing with the
NEO for our next season and trip to Salzburg this
Summer. Today God blessed me through taking away much of my pain, through the
wonderful music and through the love of all the other singers. Thank God for
every new day.
-
UPDATE
HEATHER (Birmingham) - Sunday 6th
Thanks to all who have prayed for me in this last week at work. I have managed
to keep playing, despite the pain, and feel very encouraged that God gave me
strength and lifted me out of my negativity and fear, praise Him! However,
little things keep happening to 'throw' my body and make my symptoms worse, such
as 'tweaking' my neck somehow and then twisting my ankle, and my pain levels
tonight after the concert are sky high, made worse by jarring myself. Please
continue to pray for strength for me, for trust in God, for relief of pain and
for protection, because I feel I am under attack! Thanks!
-
Anonymous - Saturday 5th
My new friend finished her presentation.
God also gave me the opportunity to have a five hour discussion with her and her
three housemates about Jesus as a sacrifice for us, His life, Mohammed's lack of
authenticity (he is dead and didn't have any power), etc. Please continue to
pray for them - Shabnam (Pakistan), hanan (Algeria), Samia (Algeria) and Rubinah
(Bangladesh). God needs them so badly in his kingdom. May I also challenge you
to buy a koran (you can get one at under 6 pounds from
www.amazon.co.uk)
to help you know what its contents are and hence an edge in ministering to
Muslims. Remember the people perish for lack of knowledge.

Steve (Warwick) - Friday 28th
Thanks for prayers for my sister, Lisa, who
had her music recital last week. She thought that it went well, and she must
have managed to control her anxiety since she found out yesterday that she's
passed her degree with a 2:2 :o) Thank you Lord for watching over her.
-
Vaughan (Cardiff) - Monday 24th
The bullying I suffered from has really
started to lift. My mum is stronger as is my sister, and she and her husband are
closer than before. My aunt's back is improving. Please continue praying for
them, for my sleep problems but especially for G. Give her physical and
spiritual protection, good health and a good job. Let her know she's loved. On
another point B. is out of hospital and has laughed for the first time since
Christmas. Please pray for him. S has recovered from cancer and is back in work.
Praise God for his mercy, his love and for the gift of His Son

Sunday 23rd
Just writing to say many thanks regards to your prayers over my depression and
self harm. Things are a lot better now and I am very grateful for your support.
I hope you will all be very blessed. Also I would like to say it has been a
privilege to take part in prayer week. Please continue to pray for my
depression so that I will have the strength to keep fighting if it reoccurs.
Many thnks, God bless you all.

Samuel (Birmingham)
MORE MIRACLES!
- Saturday 22nd Yesterday I posted an
amazing miracle about Samuel on the site. However, today there is even more! I
spoke to Samuel and yesterday he was woken by a bright light and a figure
standing before him saying, 'Get up and walk: you are a man of God!’
Samuel did not choose to argue, got up and walked around the house, up the
stairs and tells me he has been jumping! The pain he had on walking has gone
and the consultant’s advice of a few days ago for physiotherapy seems
unnecessary. Samuel told me that it is as if the paralysis had never occurred. I
thought I believed in miracles until this happened and it now seems harder to
believe in something right before my eyes, ironically! I am sure you will join
with us in thanks and praise to God for this miraculous healing. Please
continue to pray for Samuel for complete healing because he still has other
physical problems. Do pray for him and his family as they adjust to the
changes, and pray that this miracle will stand as a beautiful testimony to God’s
healing love and the power of prayer. THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR PART IN THIS –
what a privilege!
-
Samuel (Birmingham) - Friday 21st
Many people have been praying for Samuel
for a long time. To recap, Samuel became paralysed over two years ago, and has
suffered with many additional health problems. A few days ago a member of
Samuel’s church laid hands on him. The next morning he could walk for the first
time in over two years…God performs miracles!
-
Juliana Fourie (South Africa) - Tuesday
11th Praise be to God!
Our Loving Father and Saviour and Hearer of our prayers! God has answered so
many prayers of mine already and I believe in the incredible POWER of Prayer! I
have asked for a very dear friendship to be restored and He has answered my
prayer! I have asked for a house for a young couple in Cape Town, in very
expensive times and He has blessed them with a very special home they can
afford! I have prayed for negative attitudes and depressed minds in my family,
to be lifted and restored to joy, and God has lifted their spirits. A job for
both my sons and God has granted them both a good income. I have prayed for
protection for a young boy, Hugo, who went to Florida on his own, and he came
back untouched and safe. I have prayed for a house for my friend, Gill, who has
no husband or income, and two demanding teenagers, and she found one that was
perfect, pricewise as well! I have once prayed that a male stripper would not
have a show in our city (it was advertised in the newspaper) and no one turned
up for the show! I have prayed for forgiveness for the wrong and hurt I had
caused in peoples lives, and God has changed peoples hearts and they forgave me.
I have prayed for healing and God has healed hearts and minds and bodies. In
times of severe drought, Reinhardt, a little boy of 8, prayed that God would
bring rain, and that evening, just over the town, a cloud gathered and rained
for 10 minutes, a confirmation that God hears prayers although the time for the
drought to end, wasn't there yet. I thank God for His wonderful Love and Grace
and that He DOES hear our prayers! He loves us so much!
-
Shirley - Friday 7th
Thank you for praying about my endoscopy
exam this morning. It all went very well, with little discomfort. They
discovered I have a
hiatus hernia, which should explain the bad pains, and which
will be helped by medication. Thank you to God, for looking after me!
-
Christine - Friday 7th
I was offered the job I went for this
week, in fact they rang me the following day! Its a Christian charity, so I
believe that God wants me to be looked after in the working environment, and
that great things will grow from this. God be praised ! Thank you all for your
powerful, and loving prayers. May God bless you all for your commitment to this
much needed prayer site. I think you are all wonderful to give your time.
-
Heather (Birmingham) - Tuesday 4th
I want to say thank you
to all those who prayed for me on my recent tour of Europe with my orchestra.
having been really worried about it beforehand, God was so good to me during the
tour and gave me daily strength to cope with the pressures, both physically and
mentally. I even enjoyed parts of the tour, and found I was able to have really
good fellowship with God throughout, and with a good Christian friend, which
really helped me trust him from day to day. Although I had pain, and at times my
lower back in particular was a real problem in terms of walking, I was able to
use taxis and lifts to minimise the stress on my back, and felt that I wasn't
seen as a 'nuisance person' creating a fuss: I was just able to get on with the
job! So I want to give God the glory and praise for His faithfulness, and give
thanks to him also for my faithful friends here on this site who shared with me
in my daily struggles and helped me to overcome the many potential problems!
PRAISE HIS NAME!

Phill (Birmingham) - Tuesday 20th
Thanks for all your prayers regarding the
two shows at a primary school for deaf kids I had on 1st April! They went
brilliantly! The school has already pre-booked me for their Christmas show and
for a circus skills workshop! I was so nervous before hand, but God really
inspired me and helped my signing! I nearly got stage fright when my sign
language teacher (from 4 years ago) walked in with his year 5 class! Having not
signed for a couple of years I was SCARED! But God really helped me! All the
kids had a great time and so did the staff! They said I was the first
entertainer they'd had who could sign and do a good show! God is Great! To all
you prayer partners out there! God is doing amazing things through you all and
He IS answering the cries of His people! Keep up your amazing work! Thanks
again!
-
Amy (Warwickshire) - Monday 19th Thanks
to God for two weeks of holiday. I was worried about going away because of my
back problems, but I had a great time despite it all. Before I went to Spring
Harvest (Christian Festival) I had prayed that I would meet people to talk /
pray with. I met a lovely couple who could identify very much with my
disabilities and we were blessed together by sharing experiences and
encouragement.
-
Nick (Essex) - Thursday 8th
Got through it relatively stress free, and
even enjoyed some parts of it. Unfortunately my driving test was cancelled due
to the union that the examiner is signed up to, so please will you continue to
pray for my driving, as it is really getting me down.
-
G.G. (Midlands) - Monday 5th April
A few weeks ago I asked for prayer
for GG who was going to Jos in Northern Nigeria. She returned safely, had no
problems with her diet and reports that the conference was successful. It is an
area where there is much tension between Christians and Muslims, and the
conference provided opportunity for dialogue at various levels. There is now a
real possibility for positive action, and help for young people. Thank you, God.

-
Steve (Warwick) - Monday 22nd
Thanks to all who prayed for my sister last
week. She thinks that the exam went smoothly, and she has received much support
from friends and family during the past five days. Please continue to pray for
all students as they approach exams, especially those who are also occupied by
distressing personal issues.
-
Heather (Birmingham) - Monday 22nd
Thanks to all who prayed for me going back
to my job as a violinist in a symphony orchestra! God is good! It was a really
tough 10 days, and is still tough, but I am still hanging in there and being
able to be positive to people at work, and for that I want to give God the
Glory! I really do believe that God still has a role for me there, but the
physical pain can be a real downer and often make me forget that I am still
there because God wants me to be, and I cannot cope unless He gives me strength!
Please continue to pray that I will be able to trust God from day to day and be
a light for him. Thanks

Baby Hope Chia c/o Heather (Birmingham)
- March 16th
Praise God for answered prayers for baby Hope. This was an
e mail from the hope family today: Baby Hope came home late Monday afternoon!
Praise God! It was a complete surprise for us, but she's been recovering so
well, her doctors saw no need in keeping her in the hospital. She needs to gain
weight, and heal from her wounds, but other than that, she's "better than new".
Thank You, LORD! And thank you for praying. Your prayers, thoughts, and concern
have helped to pull us through this ordeal. Frankly, I feel spent like a
deflated balloon. After months of hoping for good news only to be given bad news
at each turn, the incredible way things fell together in the last 7 days have
been amazing. I'm certain it's because of the prayers of His people. Let me give
you Hope's website URL again:
www.geocities.com/hope_chia/. I will try to keep it updated so that
you can check on her progress once in a while. Again, thank you from the bottom
of our hearts. K.L. Chia
-
ANONYMOUS - March 16th
Last week I asked for prayer for a prisoner in the
Midlands who was being persecuted for his Christian faith. The situation has
been sorted out and it looks as if this was just a one-off situation. However,
please continue to pray for him, and for his persecutor, who really needs God's
help in his life.
-
HOPE CHIA c/o Heather (Birmingham) -
10/03/04 I received
this e mail today form the family of Hope Chia: from the bottom of our hearts,
we appreciate everyone's pulling for us ... it's been a stressful several
months, but we feel like we've crossed over to the other side of the mountain,
now that Hopie's surgery itself is over. Besides the surgery, the next few days
are going to be critical. At this time, the staff says that Hopie is doing
better than expected with her post-operative recovery. They've stopped the
sedation and she's awake, and kicking up a storm (kind of messes with the tubes
and wires). They have detached the respirator this morning and she's breathing
fine on her own. They will detach more of the artificial aids by and by.
I mentioned the pacemaker. Although they normally put the heart surgery patient
on a pacer, there is a real concern here. Before the operation, the surgeon
warned us that he'll have to sew pretty close to where the main heart nerve
usually is to close one of the holes. With DS kids, often their parts are not
where "normal" people have theirs, so the main heart nerve's position may be
off. If that nerve is damaged, it would disrupt the beating rhythm of the heart
permanently. Please pray for a good outcome, for full recovery, that Hopie's
heart will beat regularly on its own. K.L. Chia

Sarah c/o friend (Knowle) -
23/02/04 I
received an e-mail from Sarah indicating that in spite of all that life is
currently throwing at her, God is drawing her ever closer. She has particularly
felt His Love through those around her, and her uniqueness in Him which is
sustaining her. Praise God and continue praying, please!
-
Amy (Warwickshire) - 22/02/04
Thank you for praying for my recent
injection. God gave me calmness, despite my fears (because of complications I
had had after my previous treatment). The procedure went smoothly, and the
surgeon feels confident that this will have a significant effect on my pain.
Thanks to God for providing the treatment, and for His presence with me. Please
pray that the steroids do their job - they should 'kick in' in about a week from
now. Thank you for your faithful prayers - every one is heard, and God will
answer all prayers in His way - He knows best!
-
Mark (Birmingham) - 12/02/04
I would like to thank you for your prayers,
and thank God for his protection of my cousin. He is safe and well, and will be
reunited with is parents in the near future. My cousin has been looked after at
each turn of events of the last few days and God has never left his side. Thank
you.
-
Heather (Birmingham) - 09/02/04
Thank you so much to all those who prayed
for me after my emergency admission to hospital on 30th January with
excruciating abdominal pain. The hospital thought it was kidney stones, but the
pain did subside without the need for further medical intervention, and although
I am still sore, the awful pain has completely gone, praise God! God also really
blessed me during my stay in hospital, and I was able to minister to the others
in my side ward and have a really special time of friendship and even
fellowship; in fact, an elderly lady and i got on so well and laughed so much
that we christened ourselves 'Laurel and Hardy!' We certainly entertained the
staff and the patients, and I give God the glory for that, and praise Him for
the quality of care I received.
-
Willy James (USA) - 09/02/04
Thank you for praying for Willy James - a
prisoner on death row - who was due to be executed a few weeks ago. His
sentence was changed to life imprisonment in the last stage because of his
previously clean record. Thanks to God for giving the Parole Board His
compassion, and sparing this man's life! Please pray for him that even as he
spends the rest of his life in prison, he will know God and that 'the truth will
set him free'.
-
Amy (Warwickshire) - 01/02/04
Thanks for praying for the New
English Orchestra vigil. The Church was filled with people! My back pain was
very bad during the afternoon, and I had miss the rehearsal. I felt particularly
upset by it. But after some members of the group prayed with me, I was filled
with God's peace and He gave me the physical strength to get through the
evening, and even more, the ability to enjoy it, and worship Him through the
music!

-
Sylvia (c/o Heather) - 27/01/04 -
Praise God that my friend Sylvia's back is MUCH better. She still has serious
problems, but about 6-8 weeks post epidural injection, she has improved quite
dramatically! She managed a very long walk a couple of days ago, pushing her
grandson in his pushchair! Please continue to pray for her, and for wisdom for
the doctors treating her, so that she will continue to improve and not have any
setbacks. Thanks to all who prayed!
-
Amy (Warwickshire) - 23/01/04 -
Thank you for praying for me for my meeting
with my specialist. He showed compassion, listened to my concerns and was able
to answer all my questions. He has put me down for a new procedure before
embarking on surgery. I feel reassured that I can trust him with my health.
These were all the things I asked God for today: I prayed with several people
and God answered. God is so faithful. Keep praying!
-
FRANK (London) - 12/01/04 -
Although it is still early days in the term, I just wanted to thank folk for
praying, as I have experienced a real sense of focus and peace which were the
last things I was expecting to find in school! I seem to have cracked
certain things which had been difficult, and my relationships with the
colleagues I mentioned seem to be improving. God is Faithful!

Anonymous - 22/12/03 -
Thanks for praying for me to be well enough to
travel yesterday. The journey was good and it was wonderful to be able to see
old friends. My usual level of pain was considerably less, and I also felt very
blessed by God during the Carol Service in the evening. He loves and cares for
us!
-
Kate (London) - 20/12/03 -
The anti-discrimination forum yesterday went well. 60 representatives from
groups representing different faiths, ages, disabilities and sexualities met
together and discussed ways of building bridges between the groups.
Further discussions and projects will come about as a result. Thank you
for praying!
-
Rachel (Warwickshire) - 12/12/03 - Good friends of mine (a couple from
church) went out to Russia in September after feeling called by God to use their
gifts to serve out there. In October, John was taken critically ill with
peritonitis. Prayer was said for him all over the world because John's condition
was not too hopeful, but when we got back, the amazing news came that John was
stable. Last weekend, they were able to fly home and I saw them at church, both
bright and cheery. When I told John how good it was to see him, he replied
'it's good to be seen'! He had not been expected to pull through, but God
answered our prayers, and has touched an awful lot of lives through John's
experience. Praise God!
-
Becka (Birmingham) - 08/12/03 - (Looking back) She writes: "Once,
in my teenage years, I prayed and prayed to meet Take That. That didn't happen,
I must admit. But around the same time my best friend's brother contracted
meningitis. He was in a coma for over a week. She was really distraught. I tried
to be helpful. Eventually one Tuesday night I went to church where I knew there
was a meeting and told them about it, and they prayed. The next day when I saw
her, she told me he had woken up on Tuesday evening. He's fine now.
....
A
man at my church works in a school, and one of his colleagues had a brother who
was recently in a car accident. They thought he would die. I think he broke his
back. This was in August. Our church prayed, and I know this guy prayed loads
for him. He was in our local paper last week (November), walking on crutches.
This is a miracle.
Sometimes God says no, sometimes it takes a
while. But there are some prayers that God will always answer and he will always
say yes...

MAX
(Birmingham) - 29/11/03 - Max suffers from a debilitating condition that effectively paralyzes
his legs. Recently he lost the use of his arms as well, which was of course
terrifying, and the doctors indicated that if he didn't get the use back soon
he'd have to consider paraplegic life. Two weeks later he had not got the use
back and things were looking dismal, but then after a night of anxious prayer
by a friend he woke up with full use of his arms. Halleluiah!
