Word For you

FOR ANONYMOUS c/o JULES (prayerpartner, USA)

Doubts come to all of us but in your request there doesn't seem to be the understanding of God's plan of salvation. God created a perfect world and it was ruined when Adam sinned and sin and death entered (just like it says in Genesis) but God promised to redeem it. He called Abraham and told him that trough him salvation would come to the nations. God raised up a people (Israel) and gave them the Law and showed through them that no one can keep the law. Through Israel He provided a Redeemer, Jesus Christ who was born of the virgin Mary. The gospel Peter preached to Cornelius is clear "You know the message God sent to the people of Israel, telling the good news of peace through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all.You know what has happened throughout Judea, beginning in Galilee after the baptism that John preached-- how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him."We are witnesses of everything he did in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They killed him by hanging him on a tree, but God raised him from the dead on the third day and caused him to be seen. He was not seen by all the people, but by witnesses whom God had already chosen--by us who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead. He commanded us to preach to the people and to testify that he is the one whom God appointed as judge of the living and the dead. All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name."
If you have believed the gospel that Jesus Christ died for your sins and is Lord of all and have Him to be Lord of your life then you are saved and have no need to fear hell.
Hell is real and all who do not receive the salvation freely offered by God through the gospel will go there but you said at one point you believed God wanted you to call everyone you knew and warn them but said you couldn't do it. God will never ask you to do the impossible. You should warn your friends but only as God provides the opportunity. You said you believed you would go to hell if you didn't do it. That is simply a lie. If you have committed your life to the Lord Jesus Christ nothing can cause you to go to hell. You would have to choose to go yourself.
Taking a Religious Studies class without a firm foundation in Christ will not give you the foundation, it will draw you away.
I suggest you get alone with God and re-surrender your life to Jesus. Read and meditate on the gospel of John and then the letter to the Ephesians then Acts and the other epistles. Part of your problem may be reading the Bible without a clear understanding that it is literally true history except where it is poetry or  allegory (Song of Solomon for instance).
I pray you will recommit your life to Jesus Christ and ask Him to fill you with His Holy Spirit. Then you will begin to understand the Bible when you read it.
God bless you.
